The main objective of this course is to train dentists and dental students in the effective use of dental photography as a clinical examination tool. Throughout the program, they will acquire skills in image taking, editing, standardization and organization, taking advantage of the power and portability of cell phones and their cameras.

Specific objectives:

  • Recognize the advantages of photography as a clinical examination.
  • Learn the variables that influence photography.
  • Understand the composition and operation of cell phone cameras.
  • Master the photography taking technique.
  • Develop editing skills to standardize the size of images.
  • Learn to photograph in diagnostic templates.
  • Explore obtaining 3D models through Stereo Photogrammetry.

Clarifications

  • The photography kit takes between 2 and 3 weeks to arrive. The registration deadline to have the kit in the course is December 20, 2024. After that date, some kits will be available for practical steps.
  • Cancellation policy: Cancellation before January 5, 2014, 80% of the registration fee will be refunded. After January 5 there are no refunds. If the photographic kit has been requested, it will be deducted from the registration fee ($120,000) and will be delivered to the participant.

You can sign up before December 31, 2023 to take advantage of lower rates. The deadline to have the kit in the course is December 20, 2024.

What happens if I need to cancel my registration?

If you cancel before January 5, 2024, 80% of the registration fee will be refunded. After that date, there are no refunds. Please note that if you have requested the photography kit, it will be deducted from the refund.

Course requirements

  • Have an Android or Apple mobile phone with the best possible camera.
  • Have a notebook for photo editing.
  • No special specifications required.
  • Have dividers and mirrors for clinical photography, your own or available in the course kit.
  • Have an illuminator for dental photography (optional but recommended), your own or available in the course kit.
